As it is 2012 I had made a decision that my main goal for this year was to do more photography.
To get started on this the first thing I done was went and bought a photography magazine. As I use a canon camera I opted for photoplus a magazine all for canon camera's. To make sure I kept with this plan I even subscribed for a year as they have lots of tutorials and things to do.
As I was looking through the January issue i saw a quick project to set up at home and could take around 10 minutes to do all I needed were the following items:
- Camera
- Flash
- Black background
- incense sticks
- Tripod
I had all these so I thought why not give it a try. At first it took awhile to get the settings right but in the end after a smoke filled room and a strong smell of incense in the house i had done my first attempt. I think they turned out ok here are some from that:
I thought these were interesting to do and also as they were quick I could get more very quickly as I now knew how to go about the set up for them and how to get the results I wanted. The only thing I didn't like was my lack of colour choice for them so I had a look online and found a few more tutorials for this and on the second try I had managed to produce these:
The good thing about this is that no image is ever the same so there are unlimited possibilities.
As I have subscribed hopefully I can keep myself busy with the ideas in the magazine and I will try to keep blogging about them here.
Finally i have all these up for sale and can be bought here: Ross Caughers Photography or at Zazzle
